Avoid summer reading opportunities. Below are a couple of options for your students to keep up with their reading:
1) Aliamanu Middle School's Digital Library- We are gearing up for summer break, and hope students can relax and enjoy the sunshine. We also want them to keep their minds active while they’re away from the classroom. You may already know that we offer free digital books through OverDrive (http://hidoe.lib.overdrive.com), which provides 24/7 access to eBooks and audiobooks. What better way to engage your student’s mind than through reading? This summer, OverDrive is offering the OverDrive Summer Read program which is another way to keep students reading during summer break. A collection of Juvenile and Young Adult titles will be available for students to borrow beginning June 6 through July 18. Simply visit http://hidoe.lib.overdrive.com to access the titles. Students will need their 10-digit student ID to participate. 2) Hawaii Public Library System's Summer Reading Program Sign up at the following url: librarieshawaii.beanstack.org I hope you have a wonderful summer.
